My Philips 32" LCD was 21½ inches tall, and I had 22½" above a closet door to fit it in my small bedroom. I spent about half a day measuring and calculating the exact spot to bore the holes for the rack. After installing the rack, I mounted the TV onto it, and it cleared the ceiling and the top of the door by a half inch each. BUT, after putting the TV at the proper angle and tightening all the set-screws etc., the TV was 1/4" too low and the top of the door hit it when opened, and there was about a 1" gap between the top of the TV and the ceiling. I took the whole thing down, plugged the holes that I had made, drilled new holes about a half inch higher, and put it up again. That worked just fine, EXCEPT THAT after a few minutes in that position the TV again came down about 1/4" or so, and the door scraped the bottom of the TV. I THEN DISCOVERED WHAT TEH PROBLEM WAS: The top bolt HOLES attaching the TV to the mount were OBLONG rather than round, and (following the instructions!) I had been careful not to over-tighten the bolts), but obviously I had not tightened them sufficiently to keep the TV from moving from the top of those holes to the bottom, so the TV was moving down on the mount. What I had to do (rather than take it all down again) was to use a very short screwdriver, have someone lift the TV so that the bolts were at the TOP of the oblong holes, and then tighten those bolts as much as I could with that short screwdriver, and that did it! This is why my principal negative comment about the mount was that these holes were OBLING rather than round. The only other problem I had was with the spacers which came with the unit. There were two sizes, but neither size fitted the 6MM bolts which my TV called for. (I needed the spacers, so I managed to drilled out the holes in the smaller ones to fit my bolts. If I hadn't done this, I would not have been able to tighten those bolts even with the short screw driver.) Otherwise the mount was PERFECT for my situation, and it is working perfectly since then. Fundamentally, this mount is excellent for wall-mounting the new generation of very large Flat Panel TV's - I'm using it with a new Pioneer PDP-6071 60" Plasma, which weighs approx. 115 lbs. The mount comes with a reference chart for various makes/models to identify the proper screws for attaching the mounting arms to your TV (it comes with all the screws for all the makes/models), as well as extension rails and larger mounting arms to accommodate the real jumbo jets up to 72". The mounting plate itself is completely open in the back to accommodate wiring, and the mounting arms have locakable cams to secure your Flat Panel to the mounting plate...All in all, a very well-designed and solid mount for these new super-sized Flat Panels. My only minor complaint is that when I attached the extension rails, one of them was not perfectly straight, even though there was no apparent damage to the shipping box. It didn't affect the mounting, but if it were off only a bit more, it would have."..."  Read more

I own an older Pioneer 50" plasma television (model PRO1000HDI) that was mounted on the wall for almost 5 years. We recently moved, and a wall-mount was no longer an option. Unfortunately this television does not come with a tabletop stand, so I contacted the manufacturer directly and found that the optional stand was discontinued years ago, and that if I was able to find a stand it would cost over $400. I searched for replacements and came across Premier Mounts. They claimed that their universal stand would support this television. I was initially concerned, because this Pioneer unit weighs MUCH more than any of the other flat-panel sets we own. It works very well! Pro's: -Extremely easy assembly and adjustment. -Supports my very heavy plasma panel. -Low profile, no protruding pieces or panels to snag on furniture. -Came with a variety of mounting screws, so the stand should be able to work with any TV we purchase in the future. Con's: -I really wish the base, which is the only visible part of the stand, was finished in gloss black to better match the television. It's flat-black and looks like a big piece of MDF wood. -In my case, there's no way to adjust the height once the television was mounted. Measure appropriately before you crank down on the set screws, because they will dent the pillars. -In my case, the integrated wire chases built into the two pillars were useless because they are located too high on the pole. I would have to bend the HDMI and component cables at near 90* angles to feed them back down to the television's inputs. Thankfully, the removable panel obscures them well enough. -I'd suggest you use a little threadlocker on the adjustable screws. We've moved the TV from the entertainment furniture to the floor twice now and discovered that they were loose. I used a tiny drop of threadlocker and they've remained secure since."..."  Read more

This is my 12th wall mounted flat panel in my modest 1500 sq ft home. OK, I'm a little HDTV OCD lol. Anyway, not my first mount and this was for a 32" LG LED TV for the dining room. Was going up high on the wall so needed the full 15 degrees tilt which this has. Mounting to the wall was easy. Plenty of slotted holes in the mount and I used the included lag screws to anchor to a stud. The parts that go to the TV are never that simple and this mount was no different. There were lots of screws spacers washers etc included but the ones that came with the mount were a little shorter than my liking - would have only been 3 to 4 threads of engagement to the TV - so I used the LG screws that the base was mounted with. Which of course I did not need the base. Those screws were long enough IMO so onward to mounting. I put the mounts low on the TV so the bottom of the TV would not tilt into the wall. Plenty of slotted holes to do this in the mount. I like the locking levers although they do get in the way of the mount and the TV. Just adjust them out of the way. Moral of that story is dry fit everything on the dining room table first then go to the wall with it. Summary - very good quality and engineering for the price."..."  Read more
