All TV Mounts

I have worked with Chief, Peerless and Omnimounts in the past. And each of those fine products shine in one example or two to manage the design criteria for mounting displays in my custom projects. My present need is for 5 rooms which require a troika of 19" LCD displays. The Bretford mount is the perfect solution for my needs. I purchased one and the three intended displays and set up my array on the wall. I found the installation process to be a trouble free event. The workmanship equals the quality found in chief brackets, the benchmark of the custom installation bracket industry. I needed to install a 22" flat panel monitor at my navigataion station in my boat. This mount allows for storage flat against the wall, and allows for the monitor to be angled out when at anchor and used for entertainment. I carefully and systematically compared all major competition for 22 inch LCD on-wall mounting. Major competitors including Sanus and Omnimount offer either a very flimsy "small" size articulating mount with poor reviews online, or huge bulky "medium" size articulating mount with a huge flat metal panel swing arm mechanism which I found quite unattractive and unnecessarily bulky. (I actually purchased 3 of these and brought them home to examine.)My office has three wall mounted 32 and 37 inch LCD's that use a larger Chief mount (which is of the same design as this smaller counterpart) and they are excellent in design and function and support. So, faced with the inadequate competition, I went ahead and ordered the Chief online. Although I wished that I could have purchased locally, my experience with Chief led me to take the risk. The Chief mount is FAR superior, truly. Unlike the offset approach of others, it is mounted in the center of the space the LCD will hang (which makes for easier configuring and positioning), and it is streamlined in appearance and has built-in cord concealment. Very well built, easy to install, very easy to adjust. Only thing I would do differently would be to buy the mount adapter for my specific TV model. The universal mount adapter covers up the connections in the back and makes it hard to connect cables, plus the mounting rails are longer than they need to be for this TV. One screw for the mount adapter had a partially stripped head out of the bag and was very hard to screw in. Not good for something brand new."..."  Read more
