Our 22 new lights look great on our new multi-level deck and stairs. Our contractor placed the lights on the posts. Only one complaint: some of the lights were of poor quality as far as the coating goes (chipped, marred, etc). We placed those on areas where the defects could not be seen. We added the diffuser (from this product line & bought separately) to the top of the can to make it water resistant to comply with local 'code'.
