this is a very nice office chair. i've purchased 3 other office chairs in the past 10 years. all of them were high-backed black leather and all of them were a disappointment. i just received this one yesterday and, so far, i like this chair. i just need to see how the arm rests hold-up over the next year or so to judge durability and make a final judgement. the assembly directions aren't fabulous but they are almost exactly the same as the directions for the other chairs i've ordered so i already knew to unpack all the bolts and washers carefully and keep each group of bolts separate and organized. all the bolt holes have grommets, the grommets are securely seated and all the bolts mated to their grommets perfectly. and that perfect mating was a bit of a surprise. in my (limited) experience, there's usually some strong-arming required for one or two bolt/bolt holes. but there were no assembly problems with this chair. the only tool needed is an included allen wrench. even before assembly, you can feel the leather is very supple for a chair this inexpensive. once assembled, you can appreciate the lumbar support is excellent, the arm-rest, seat and back cushioning is very comfortable, the hydrolic mechanism works, as expected, and the casters are fair. i still want to see that the arm rest cushioning does not crush with use. i've seen that problem twice in other chairs. if these arms hold-up i would give this chair an unqualified thumbs-up even when compared with chairs costing 3 times as much."..."  Read more

OK, I was a little embarrassed about having to buy a "big man's" chair, but needed to. I put on a bit of weight after an accident, and literally broke my last home office chair. That said, this chair answered the bill for all my needs. It's wide and sturdy, looks great and is surprisingly comfortable. It comes disassembled, but don't let that scare ya, if you know how to operate a screwdriver and read directions (in English!), you won't have a problem putting it together. The main frame parts are made of real, heavy metal, so you may need help with lifting if you have a bad back - but trust me, you will have a comfortable chair that will help your back as soon as you are done. The cushions at first do seem a little "hard", but after sitting in it, it just feels right to me. I've been sitting in this chair for up to 18 hours a day doing home business (and games too), and have never felt uncomfortable because of the chair. I now actually prefer it over my recliner even when watching TV... My only little complaint is that this chair does what every other chair I've ever owned does to me in the middle of the night - it squeaks and creaks a bit - not enough to bother anyone else, but enough for me to notice. I'd recommend this chair to anyone who likes a bit more space to sit on. The seat area is very wide, and not just big people will like this, I have a petite little friend who likes to sit "Indian style" in this chair and wants to get one of her own now too. Pros: These are nice chairs. I was looking for nicer chairs for my recently remodel high-end home office. I did not want the junk-quality office depot style chairs. Overall, they certainly met my expectation in that category. They are somewhat firm at first but have gotten more comfortable after several weeks of use. I also like the ability to choose the color. I chose blue and it looks "custom" since it's not typically available in the chain stores. The armrest pads are nice bvoth in function and fashion. They swivel and turn smoothly, as well as go up and down to your desire position with ease. Cons: I was not pleased to see that these are made from BONDED leather, a major fact I must have read past on the description. For this kind of money for a relatively small surface office chair, I assumed it would be natural leather. Also, the back seems are selaed with a long clear plastic strip, similar to a piece of hot glue gun glue before it melts, not the most attractive touch. Overall, if you are looking for a chair at that next level beyond the chain stores with attractive looks, good quality and comfort, I recommend this chair. I love this chair, it's the best chair I've ever owned to date. I've had more expensive chairs but none that I liked better than this one. For my size/weight it's perfect for many, many hours of sitting. It's easily adjustable in several dimensions including the lumbar support which is critical to me. The seat padding is firm but not hard, it's firm enough that it doesn't crush leaving my pelvic bones in contact with a hard surface. All in all, it's a fantastic chair. I'm an IT professional and I sit in this thing all day long, sometimes as much as 18 hours. That's hard use for any chair and I'm not a small person by any means. It's at the end of it's travel for height adjustment and I can sit with my legs at a 90 degree angle and my feet flat on the floor. It's the perfect height for sitting at my desk. I love the concave arm rests, which are also adjustable for height. I have a pretty serious back injury and sitting for long durations can be a problem, that's why I picked this chair. It's big, I can shift around in it to avoid fatigue from sitting in the same spot too long. Time will tell how durable it is, but as of now after using it for a month, I love it. A note to everyone about this kind of chair. When you assemble it, get those screws TIGHT. Flex and movement of the assembly screws is one of the main reasons for chair failure. I've learned this from bitter experience. The main screws in this chair come with a drop of LocTite blue on them, a sure sign of a quality chair."..."  Read more
