I use this mirror in my powder room because it was different than ordinary mirrors and it matched well with my colors in the room. It is a bit heavy for a mirror and you have to figure out how to mount it to the wall properly. The previous review convinced me to purchase this mirror. I like the leaf pattern, find the mirror to be quite substantial. I particularly like the patina - definitely this mirror is not merlot - more like expresso which is exactly what I wanted. I've hung this mirror in my entry way above a contemporary wenge wood cabinet piece. I picked this mirror because orange is my choosen accent color to go with the primary colors of chocolate and wenge that comprised the dining and living room furniture pieces. The result is better than I hoped it would be. The lacquer finish is beautifully done, and the proportions of glass and frame pleasing. It's a large mirror, so be sure to have a space that will work with it. Within the range of hues that get labeled "orange", this one tilts towards red, rather than yellow, which worked well for me.
