Fabulous lamp. Heavy, yet well balanced. 3 way bulb so you can choose lighting mood: full power reading small print low light for kissing a sweetie pie. The shade is exquisite and understated. The inside of the shade is lined with satin like fabric so it's gorgeous to look at when you look up from reading. Beautiful combination of textures, metal, wood. We bought a Quoizel floor lamp and are thrilled with it too. Not matching. You know the stuff out there is usually a hit or miss. This lamp is the real deal. Also, Wayfair is the real deal. We've bought a number of items from them and they know how to serve their customers. PS This review is the real deal...we've been shopping for 4 months to decorate our apartment (we have very refined tastes - thank you very much) and Wayfair is such a relief to deal with. Yes... I was looking for a contemporary floor lamp that also made a statement in the room. This lamp is perfect for that. I love it so much I'm ordering another. Its a very nice lamp. I like the fact that the three way switch is located at the base of lamp reflector cone and seems to be standard. Had halogen torchiere with an in-tube little switch that is almost impossible to replace. I would like this lamp to be a bit higher and the reflector cone a bit higher too so it would completely hide the three way cfl lamp. I had one that was sticking out way too much, about 2-3 inches which completely destroys the look of the lamp. Fortunately I was able to find another one, much lower. It still sticks out but only a bit, so it doesnt blind me at all. Maybe it was designed to be used only with incandescent lamps The diameter of lower and upper sections, and the ring between them do not match perfectly, however hard to notice. I used this table lamp to even out modern metal lamps in a retro den. It did the trick. The lamp is small, an accent, that I can use in other rooms as well. I use it to provide a soft light, more of a lift so to speak, for a spot in the room that has traffic. I would buy this lamp again, in fact I might for another place in the house."..."  Read more
