I am pleased! As AMF rated these one step below premium. I think they are fine!! Especially considering the cost; good value. They accent my Gus Modern Delano chairs (white leather) perfectly. The chairs are brushed stainless steel and the lighting stands on these are a semi-gloss steel look (clear coated steel)....a perfect complement to one another. (shades are white too!) The lamp vertical pieces are 1/2" square stock...which also match perfectly with my Calligaris bar stools!(in size). So, if you are looking to "match" things all three of these pieces work very well together: both in materials and finish. [...] I think these are best used in pairs or more....but thats my opinion. There is some assembly, so you may need a bit of help - but no big deal (all PRESS fit: shade and defuser). That reminds me, the defuser could be left off: if you do that you will get more light flowing out the top of the bulb area....if you install it, you will get more light focused out the bottom of the shade! Very adjustable for mood and effect....neat!!! There are also stylish pull chains hanging from the light area . These are cylender like aluminum orniments about the size of a short pencil; you can't see the pull chains ....only the end orniments! Nice touch! No hype, these "lamps" are ok!! Have fun.
