I'm very pleased with this lamp. It looks expensive and classy. I saw some reviews that mentioned stains on the shade...my shade was completely wrapped and spotless. Each of the four parts easily slide into each other and lock into place. Reading the instructions to put the lamp shade and the light defuser together made that a lot easier. The defuser really adds to the look of the lamp and causes the light to not be so harsh. This lamp actually holds TWO 100 watt bulbs, not one like the listing said. I love that I can light up my whole room. If I want a dimmer light, I unscrew one of the bulbs which is easy to reach from the top of the lamp shade. The on-off switch is a push button on the floor and you just step on it...you don't have to bend down. High quality lamp, well worth the price!"..." Read more

I had looked at many buffet lamps with exhaustion prior to finding this lamp. I noticed the deminison for this lamp is approx. the same size as a buffet lamp. My only concern was the larger lamp shade so I bought one. I was stunned when I saw it. It is absolutely beautiful! Much nicer than any other buffet lamp on the market. The quality is excellent. The lamp shade was a little bigger than my old buffet lamps but not much. I decided to order another one. I highly recommend this lamp. It is one of the most beautiful lamps in my home."..." This is a beautiful lamp that I searched long and hard to find for the price. I have it in my two-story front foyer entrance on a round pedestal table and it is just perfect. It's a hefty sized table lamp so it works great in the larger space. The decor of the lamp is just beautiful and looks very intricate. The shade has a beautiful trim to it that also gives it a very sophisticated look. It matches the gold/brown wood tones of my stairs, table and hardwood floor and even complements the iron staircase it is close to. I purchased two of these lamps for a den that had no overhead lighting and they light up the room completely. I like the built-in dimmer for the top lamp and the fact that the top lamp uses a 150 watt bulb. The lamps fit right in with the decor in my Spanish hacienda-style house.
