The Equo is a stylish and somewhat functional light. I really like the dimmer switch on the light. When using the light - you can manipulate the light head to a different position so that it remains parallel to the surface, e.g., book, computer keyboard, etc.
The arm of the light is actually kind of short - much shorter than you might imagine - so the light has to be position a little bit closer to what you are lighting. If you want to be able to place the light father away from your intended target - I would suggest the Z-bar light (which I also have).

This was the third lamp I've ordered so obviously I am pleased. I wanted a reading lamp that did not require a table, that took up very little visual space, that had no lampshade to gather dust, that had a sleek modern look - well I got it.

The first, I bought for myself and found it easy to assemble; versatile but most of all, it radiates an abundance of light without the heat. The second one was a gift for Mom replacing the extremely hot lamp on her desk with this was one of the best safety precautions possible. No heat means no accidental burns.
