I love this lamp. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't have a dimmer feature, which I needed because I'm using this in my living room as an accent light. However, for $14 I bought a full-range dimmer plug from [...] that converts any lamp into a full-range dimmer lamp. So, with the addition of that gadget, this lamp is now perfect. It gives off a nice warm orangey glow because the light is coming through the shells. It really is a perfect accent to my living room color scheme.I orininally bought this floor lamp and the matching end table lamp, however when I put the table lamp on the table, the shade is much lower than the shade on this floor lamp. I'm a perfectionist and like things symmetrical. So I bought a second floor lamp and now have a floor lamp on either side of my couch. I really liked the concept of this lamp. I takes good planning to place this lamp in a place that will highlight its design and illumination. The lamp lights up my living room very well. Fantastic "candle" design. Despite the well packaging,the lamp glass covers (icicles) are very delicate, be careful handling them. You get an extra lamp, and icicle. It is not mentioned in the description, but the lamp has a small floor sliding switch that lets you dim the 3 halogen lamps from maximum power to darkness. Dimming is expected for halogen lamps. Its very cool when creating a laid-back atmosphere. The switch has an orange LED to make it easier to find it the dark. Though, it takes some time getting used to the floor switch. The assembly wasn't as easy as i would have hoped, but its worth the wait (Hence 4 stars). Just have patience. The hardest part is to get the electrical cables inside the tubes (which run the entire height of each tube). Do not assemble (screw in) the tubes together before you insert the cables and plug to the lamp sockets. Its easier this way. Assembly make take some ingenuity (Like using a hook+rope to insert the electrical cables in the tubes...your welcome). The construction is solid and of good quality. I think is very worth the price and the style this lamp adds to my living room. I consider it as art and not just as a lamp. I would definitely recommend it, but not too much as I wouldn't want everyone to have the same lamp as me. ;-)"..."  Read more

I bought lamp mainly 6 months ago to use for a small l-shaped hallway to use it instead of the ceiling light because when that light goes out, Ill never be able to reach it to replace it even with my step ladder. Ive also been using this lamp for extra light when needed for my lap top which is easy to pick up and place by the table. In fact, the outlet I use is in back of the table, and I also have it plugged into an extension cord which hangs over a bookcase. For my purposes, it would be much better if the lamp had the turn on button, or a switch, on the lamp post instead of on the cord. Its supposed to be stepped on to turn on the lamp. For me, I have to go back and forth to turn on the lamp. What I will say is that it was a snap to put it together although I had trouble putting in the bulb. All and all, it is a good little lamp. Wayfair does it again! First let me rave about the company...we have been in the process of decorating of NYC apartment from the floor up. We've purchased a number of items from Wayfair and have had a great experience every time. Great customer service... products deliverd on time. If there is a delivery delay, you get an email that keeps you in the loop. That only happened once b/c it was an Asian item that was stuck at the border, I think. No other company had it in stock either. Floor lamp... if you are having doubts my advice is to BUY THIS LAMP NOW! We looked for months and months and months until my husband found this Utopia. Well made. Packed to be safe upon delivery. On trend but really unique. The metal shade that fits over the cream fabric shade has cutouts of delicate leaves. Very subtle yet it gives the lamp a unique pattern of light. Also, the two bulbs give plenty of light and can be used independently for setting the mood. Has a light diffuser on the top of the fixture so no harsh light. IMO this is the finest lamp at this (or any) price out there.
