We've had this floor lamp for 3-4 months now. It's not the cheapest torchiere lamp but also not the most expensive. I chose it because it came with a remote control, a feature my husband finds handy. He likes that it uses incandescent bulbs rather than halogen which produces a lot of heat. I like that it has a dimmer and the design is minimalistic. When you turn the light on, it remembers how bright you had it last time it was lit and it illuminates at the same level. What impressed us both is when you switch the light off, it takes a few seconds to dim before shutting off completely, giving you time to cross the room while the light is still on. With a child in the house, this has been a really useful feature as toys often litter the floor. The only drawback is that the lamp occasionally randomly lights up and on the odd occasion, turns itself off. We don't mind it as much as the lamp is often secondary lighting but it is odd that it does this."..." Read more

This is a beautiful lamp that I searched long and hard to find for the price. I have it in my two-story front foyer entrance on a round pedestal table and it is just perfect. It's a hefty sized table lamp so it works great in the larger space. The decor of the lamp is just beautiful and looks very intricate. The shade has a beautiful trim to it that also gives it a very sophisticated look. It matches the gold/brown wood tones of my stairs, table and hardwood floor and even complements the iron staircase it is close to. I use this lamp on a bedside table. It takes a 150 watt bulb, and the light is totally adjustable with a small knob on the base. I can turn the light down for night light use or I can turn it all the way up for reading in bed. Easy assembly and clean lines add to the beauty and function of this lamp. Note the height 24". It is very tall and sends the light upward more than out. Because of the height, there is no glare from the bulb even on high. It looks like simple art on the table."..." Read more
