The Equo is a stylish and somewhat functional light. I really like the dimmer switch on the light. When using the light - you can manipulate the light head to a different position so that it remains parallel to the surface, e.g., book, computer keyboard, etc. The arm of the light is actually kind of short - much shorter than you might imagine - so the light has to be position a little bit closer to what you are lighting. If you want to be able to place the light father away from your intended target - I would suggest the Z-bar light (which I also have). I PURCHASED 2 OF THESE LAMPS. THEY ARE VERY BEAUTIFUL LAMPS THAT GO WELL WITH MY DECOR. I HAVE A LOT OF ROYAL BLUE CARPET WITH TWIN DOUBLE RECLINERS WITH LIGHT TAN AND LIGHT BROWN PATTERNS ON THEM. IT MATCHES WELL WITH THESER COLORS. I FIND OUT THE LITTLE BIT OF BEING JUST A LITTLE BIT SHORTER THAN THE REGULAR SIZE LAMP IS A GREAT PLUS. IT DOES NOT TAKE UP EXCESSIVE SPACE ON AN END TABLE. IT IS STABLE AND A LITTLE HEAVY WHICH TELLS ME IT IS MADE OF A GOOD DURABLE PRODUCT AND NOT SOME CHEAP PLASTIC.TO ME IT FELLS LIKE A HARDENED CLAY BUT DO NOT TAKE MY WORD. THE DESIGN ON THE LAMPS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND EXCELLENT DONE.I THINK YOU WOULD ENJOY HAVING A LAMP SUCH AS THIS IN ANY ROOM. I KNOW THAT I DO!!!!!!!"..."  Read more

Perfect little lamp for our needs. Love the adaptation of a classic table lamp for a modern decor. We have one on our kitchen table and one on the moveable island/bar in our city galley kitchen, where we needed more and ambient light. Just right.
