I'm very pleased with this lamp. It looks expensive and classy. I saw some reviews that mentioned stains on the shade...my shade was completely wrapped and spotless. Each of the four parts easily slide into each other and lock into place. Reading the instructions to put the lamp shade and the light defuser together made that a lot easier. The defuser really adds to the look of the lamp and causes the light to not be so harsh. This lamp actually holds TWO 100 watt bulbs, not one like the listing said. I love that I can light up my whole room. If I want a dimmer light, I unscrew one of the bulbs which is easy to reach from the top of the lamp shade. The on-off switch is a push button on the floor and you just step on it...you don't have to bend down. High quality lamp, well worth the price!"..." Read more

This is the 3rd lamp I've purchased from Wayfair. The other 2 are the same lamp but very tall and sit behind my couch on a sofa table. This lamp was purchased to sit on an end table beside the couch to match the other 2 lamps but a different shape. These lamps are very heavy and masculine looking. The rock is beautiful with shades of blue, beige, brown and grey. The copper adds a nice touch. The lamp shade is a nice shade of beige/taupe that looks and feels like suede. lamp has beautiful finish and a solid feel all around. the body is nominally brass, but i couldn't verify that all parts were brass. There is a non-brass weighting in the base and inside the main body (tube), but all the parts that matter, like the finish, fasteners, switch, harp, cord, are great quality. I didn't care for the appearance of the shade but that's an easy fix; the cord is longer than usually comes wiht a floor lamp, which was an added bonus; the pictures on line are true to the color ("oil rubbed bronze") and design of the actual item[...] when setting up, if the top (extensible) tube seems a bit loose, you can tighten the concentric collar in addition to tightening the adjustment knob; the light is a bit short for a floor lamp, which was what i needed (it is a reading lamp for me), but be sure this height matches your needs; there are similar lamps by the same maker which are taller, if you need the height; I would definitely order this item again and even considered getting a second one after i set up the first because i liked it so much; i did cross-compare this with many other lamps on line and in retail locations and chose this for its simplicity, the nice finish (based on what i saw in the photos), the unobtrusive color which makes it blend into many room decors, relatively compact size (i.e., small shade), and adjustable height."..."
