The Equo is a stylish and somewhat functional light. I really like the dimmer switch on the light. When using the light - you can manipulate the light head to a different position so that it remains parallel to the surface, e.g., book, computer keyboard, etc. The arm of the light is actually kind of short - much shorter than you might imagine - so the light has to be position a little bit closer to what you are lighting. If you want to be able to place the light father away from your intended target - I would suggest the Z-bar light (which I also have). I am serious about working at my desk. I need a light that puts out a good amount of light and is aesthetically pleasing. It is hard to find the former because companies are focusing on putting forth a beautiful lamp, but they make it with a wimpy light output and/or isn't very functional. Don't worry about this one! It's not the most beautiful lamp (it really is attractive, but there are definitely ones that are nicer looking), but it puts out a GREAT amount of light. You can rotate the shade and adjust the height to cover the proper amount of desk space you want. It really is nice and very functional. Also a nice feature is being able to use a simple compact flourescent bulb. So many of these new design have high-power LEDs. I am a little concerned about their power output...and you can't readily buy them when they need replacement. With this model you can go to a local store ([...]) and buy a bulb for a rather inexpensive price. I thought that I would need to get 2 lamps for my desk (4'-6' long), but 1 is doing the job I need it to do (provide a good amount of light to work at my desk)."..." Read more

I recieved my lamp yesterday. It was packaged well, delivered on time and FREE shipping. The quality of this product is excellent. So useful with the double arms that adjust in any direction. Each light has it's own switch, the switches are at the right height and they are dimmer switchs. This lamp sits between mine and my wife's chair and is SO useful. The reason I selected this type of light was so I could have it on and not see the reflections of the light in the T.V. With the adjustable arms and lamp heads, this light made it possible.
