I purchased the banker desk lamp for my husband's home office upon his request for a green shaded banker desk lamp. I started hunting on the internet, and this was the nicest one I could find for the right price. I chose the antique brass because I prefer that look over the shine of regular brass. The base of the lamp has some weight to it , which is a good feature. You don't have to worry about knocking it over. The base in my opinion has a very nice design to it. The lamp was not inexpensive but it was not over $100.00. I always feel like you get what you pay for. There are some green banker lamps on the market for around $30.00, and they look like a $30.00 lamp. The lamp even came with a light bulb!! My husband loves his lamp."..."  Read more

I was trying to find my wife a piano lamp for Christmas. I was frustrated at the low quality lamps with bad reviews and the high quality lights with unreal prices. I showed this one to her and she said she would be interested in it. We received it, and were amazed at the quality, and looks of this lamp. I love the style of this lamp. I use it by the bedside and the high/low switch makes it versatile. My only problem with it is that I wanted it to be a little taller so I could put it on the far side of my nightstand and bend it over to the bed as a reading lamp. I am able to use it as a reading lamp but I have to put it next to the night stand instead of on the far side. I guess I didn't check the dimensions well enough.
