First of all, this is a beautiful thing. Just unusual enough to add a touch of originality to your decor. It has a very simple assembly, which is however a bit of a pain in how tight you have to keep the screws for this lamp to keep upright. Since it's an arc lamp, and therefore top heavy to one side, it will always lean somewhat, and will likely not stand as straight as it does in the picture. In fact, the way it is arranged with respect to its base in the picture is wrong. Also, if you think that it will give a nice muted glow, you are mistaken, these lanterns are very bright and will easily light up your entire living room.
