My therapist suggested a light that had 10,000 lumins and I was to do therapy for at least 30 min a day. As I was looking at other lights I notices that the 10,000 lumins was at 6 in. That is literally almost touching it with your nose. This Day-Light Lamp is great. It has the 10K lumins at a reasonable 12 inches and the height is adjustable so the light can be at the right level whatever youre sitting on. This isnt the most decoratively appealing lamp but in my opinion it is the best lamp for delivering the light that I need. The space between the legs is just right for a book or ereader to rest and when my book is there, my face is just the right space away from the light to get what I need. I am very pleased with the quality and useability of this light.

Tried a couple other LED desk/task lamps, but never liked the light quality -- too whitish / greenish / cold, and too limited an area of illumination. I doubted this could be that much different--to the extent of calling Wayfair to double-check the return policies on the item. But the lamp is excellent. It really does have the same warmth and color rendering accuracy as a halogen, plus full dimmability, good design, etc. Not cheap, clearly, but the best task light I've seen.

Lamp was a little tricky to assemble, involving tiny screws that kept escaping my grasp. In the end one of the base poles is not quite straight if you look closely. But overall the lamp looks very nice and provides good light. Although it does have a floor switch that works with three way bulbs, I decided to attach a standard floor dimmer from the hardware store, which works great."..." Read more
