I purchased this case as a Christmas gift for our son, who is a teacher. It will replace a case I purchased for him several years ago. This case is head and shoulders above the one it is replacing. On initial examination, it is well made and absolutely beautiful -- looks like I paid much more than I did. The handle is substantial and the case itself has ample space, large enough to accommodate all his paperwork and maybe even his laptop. I'm sure he's going to love it. I have always purchased inexpensive irons that did not perform well or last long. I am thrilled with my V50. It has cut my ironing time by 75%. The only problem I see is where the controls are. I am constantly touching the heat control and I'm not crazy about the soft "buttons" on the sides for the steam. I would prefer a different control for the steam and the heat controls moved away from where your had rests when you are using the iron.
