I bought this play kitchen for my three youngest children, ages 4, 2 & 10 months. This was a birthday present for the oldest who is a boy, so I didn't want the kitchen to be too feminine. I was originally looking at the Pottery Barn Kids small kitchen set in brown and silver, but it came in three pieces and was over $200 per piece. Luckily they were out of stock and I found this one. This kitchen is just adorable in the robin egg blue color. My kids just love it. It came in a box with about 200 pieces, but I was able to put it together by myself in about 2 hours with three kids interrupting me and eating styrofoam. All the hardware is well organized and easy to identify and the directions are pretty clear. It seems sturdy and went together well. My kids are pretty rough on their toys and we have had this for over a month with no problems. This is a compact kitchen with all the bells and whistles.
