Setup and takedown instructions are a bit confusing... figured it out with time. Sun protection netting lacked any instructions. Flap zipper operation could be smoother. Exterior flap open position retention system is slightly awkward/very tight. These are all minor complaints. All in all it seems to be working out quite well. I gave this to my nine year-old daughter for her birthday and she loves it. It is easy to use. Within the first half hour of use, she was able to focus on Saturn with the aid of the red spot viewfinder. Every night we are out star gazing. The unit is solid and easy to assemble. It took 30 minutes to put together and the instructions were simple to follow. The only snag was that I did not see the plastic tab over the battery which power the red spot light and took 10 minutes to figure that out. All in all, I'd recommend this telescope."..."  Read more

My 6 year old grandson loved this gift. He had the flashlight out looking at the names on the gifts and the binoculars were good for that age"

I ordered this one as a gift for my daughter who is a sailor and she loves it! She did have a little trouble getting the rod through the sailboat part due to the "stoppers" being on too tight."
