I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this bed for the ten year old Akita I just adopted (she has some minor arthritis). Because of her heavy coat, I knew she hated to be hot, so I thought an inflatable bed would be cooler than a traditional dog bed.
I was happily surprised. She lays on this with or without the cover, and I tested it myself to verify that is indeed comfortable. (The air channels support weight very evenly.) It's also easy to clean.
On the con side, I think I'll need to add air every 7-10 days to keep it firm enough, and it is rather noisy when she moves around on it. But those are minor things. I'd be willing to buy this again and recommend it to others."..." Read more
