I use this product to store all my video's, cd's and dvd's, from music, to movies, to anime collection in one accessible location..When I received my product, I opened the box, to check, verify and separate all pieces that the assembly instructions showed/stated that comes with it, in order to assemble the product.Then I just followed the instructions and illustrations, without any difficulties or problems.Since this product is both tall, wide and big in size and can hold an incredible amount on it's shelves. It went without saying (common sense)that it was necessary to anchor it against the wall, and did I so with an anchor, in each of the 3 major sections, hidden behind the "wood" backing.My cats, love to sleep on the vey top of it. No worries of any tipping or toppling over at all.Some other mention the shelves being "thin or flimsy". This does not cause any concern, for 2 reasons.1) The shelves are adjustable, so there are numerous holes on the sides and along the "wood" backing of each section, that you can easily added extra "toggles or the likes similar to those that are originally included with the product" to add/give it (the shelves) extra support, to hold the massive amount media it's capable of at full capacity. I planned to do so from the start and I have as the situation requires (again-common sense).2) I read all the reviews already posted on this product beforehand. However, the price, and quality and holding capacity of the product, [...] I think for all that, you more than get you money's worth. I had been seriously looking for a long time, comparing similar products, their size, holding compacity, with doors/no doors, etc. aong with comparitive pricing, both online and in stores.I can tell you, you won't find any other similar product anywhere, with all the features this one possess's, and definitely NOT for the price it is sold for here.That is why I knew that this is exactly what I wanted, and I love it. RECIEVED THE KITS [...] IN GOOD SHAPE. INSTRUSTIONS EASY TO FOLLOW. SHORT ON SOME SCREWS THOUGH BUT MADE DO. FIT GOOD. BOUGHT 2. THE FIRST ONE TOOK ME (I'ME DISABLED) AND MY GRANDSON (18 yrs old) 5 HOURS TO ASSEMBLE, BUT WE HAD FUN. THREE (3) DAYS LATER THE SECOND ONE TOOK 2 AND 1/2 HOURS. ADJUSTMENTS ARE EASY FOR NICE FIT ON DOORS. MY WIFE LOVES THEM. THE ONES WE HAVE ARE IN BLACK, THATS ALL THEY HAD IN STOCK AT THE TIME. I'ME NOW WAITING ON 2 MORE IN OAK FOR THE LIVING ROOM. THESE TOWERS WILL CLEAN UP THE FAMILY AND LIVING ROOM AND GET IT BETTER ORGINIZED. THEY AREN'T BAD LOOKING PIECES OF FURNITURE AND IT'S SURPRISING HOW GOOD THEY FIT IN. MY WIFE LOVES THEM !AN ADDITIONAL SHELF INSIDE WITH MORE ADJUSTABLE SETTINGS WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE AND IT WOULD HAVE ADDED ANOTHER SHELF CAPACITY FOR MORE DVD'S. I've been looking for something like this for at least 8-10 months....finally found it and ordered it. Should have gone with my gut instinct and gotten the black....the oak does not go with a single piece of my oak furniture. I may have to paint it in the future. Only one complaint: REALLY, the lazy-susan piece is a very thin PLASTIC, for a $200 item.....you couldn't use metal? I have it loaded and I can tell already that I'm going to have a problem with it sticking....my bet is that the flimsy plastic turntable will break in no time at all.....which means I'll have to buy a metal one, unload the entire unit and replace it. I'm 66 and female and managed to get it assembled in about 90 minutes. I did add in one step on page 4, I screwed gliders into the bottom to protect my wood floor. I'd recommend this with reservations and the advise to glue the side pieces (which I did as I assembled it), and buy a metal lazy susan and install that."..."  Read more

I purchased this item last week. It came promptly, and since we were having guests over, we had to have it assembled quickly. My boyfriend is very good at putting things together, but he felt like this item had some poor design. He said the instructions were actually very good. The doors do not meet and there is a 1/4 inch gap between them. The decorative top portion was difficult to put on because when you added another piece, it would make the others pop off. The shelves didn't fit the best, but we made them work. The handles are wooden, which is nice. We were glad we went with the black one, because it is mdf, and the wood would probably be fake looking. It does hold an impressive amount of DVDs. The shelves on the door are not as flimsy as the other reviewer indicated. The side pices are screwed in, it is the shelf in between that you are supposed to super glue. We skipped the glue, and they are still holding the DVDs fine. It is a very streamlined look, but I do wish it had drawers instead of the flip-top, which I saw on another website for a lot more. We have some extra binders of DVDs on top and we have to move them every time we want to get something out of the top. The lock works very well, you could use it as a safe-it is very secure.
