I have a huge CD/DVD collection and I've owned every type of CD/DVD storage unit you can imagine and I can assure you that this is the best unit that is currently on the market. They cost a little more but you get what you pay for - quality - this is solid all wood construction as opposed to particle board with a melamine surface or pre-engineered wood with a wood veneer surface. I have the black units and they look great - very contemporary. The only negative comment I have is that they are better suited to CD storage than DVD storage. The reason for this is because of where the one fixed shelf is located, which works perfectly for CD shelf spacing. I had to modify the units for DVD shelf spacing by drilling new holes for the fixed shelf. This allowed me to optimize the unit for DVD storage. My recommendation is that the manufacturer build in the option for where to locate the fixed shelf - one to accommodate CD storage spacing and one to accommodate DVD storage spacing."..."  Read more

I use this product to store all my video's, cd's and dvd's, from music, to movies, to anime collection in one accessible location..When I received my product, I opened the box, to check, verify and separate all pieces that the assembly instructions showed/stated that comes with it, in order to assemble the product.Then I just followed the instructions and illustrations, without any difficulties or problems.Since this product is both tall, wide and big in size and can hold an incredible amount on it's shelves. It went without saying (common sense)that it was necessary to anchor it against the wall, and did I so with an anchor, in each of the 3 major sections, hidden behind the "wood" backing.My cats, love to sleep on the vey top of it. No worries of any tipping or toppling over at all.Some other mention the shelves being "thin or flimsy". This does not cause any concern, for 2 reasons.1) The shelves are adjustable, so there are numerous holes on the sides and along the "wood" backing of each section, that you can easily added extra "toggles or the likes similar to those that are originally included with the product" to add/give it (the shelves) extra support, to hold the massive amount media it's capable of at full capacity. I planned to do so from the start and I have as the situation requires (again-common sense).2) I read all the reviews already posted on this product beforehand. However, the price, and quality and holding capacity of the product, [...] I think for all that, you more than get you money's worth. I had been seriously looking for a long time, comparing similar products, their size, holding compacity, with doors/no doors, etc. aong with comparitive pricing, both online and in stores.I can tell you, you won't find any other similar product anywhere, with all the features this one possess's, and definitely NOT for the price it is sold for here.That is why I knew that this is exactly what I wanted, and I love it. I ordered 2 of these pedestals to hide an evergrowing CD collection that my husband and I have been amassing. We could never seem to find an attractive, neat solution to the hideous wire CD racks that were cluttering the living room and constantly gathering dust. Until we found this beauty. The CD pedestals were well packed and came fully assembled. All we had to do was insert the shelf pins (all included in the packaging) and the shelves and we were done. The pedestals are sturdy and well made. They take up little room and inside there is a wealth of storage where we were able to store all of our CD collection. Highly recommend!"..."  Read more

RECIEVED THE KITS [...] IN GOOD SHAPE. INSTRUSTIONS EASY TO FOLLOW. SHORT ON SOME SCREWS THOUGH BUT MADE DO. FIT GOOD. BOUGHT 2. THE FIRST ONE TOOK ME (I'ME DISABLED) AND MY GRANDSON (18 yrs old) 5 HOURS TO ASSEMBLE, BUT WE HAD FUN. THREE (3) DAYS LATER THE SECOND ONE TOOK 2 AND 1/2 HOURS. ADJUSTMENTS ARE EASY FOR NICE FIT ON DOORS. MY WIFE LOVES THEM. THE ONES WE HAVE ARE IN BLACK, THATS ALL THEY HAD IN STOCK AT THE TIME. I'ME NOW WAITING ON 2 MORE IN OAK FOR THE LIVING ROOM. THESE TOWERS WILL CLEAN UP THE FAMILY AND LIVING ROOM AND GET IT BETTER ORGINIZED. THEY AREN'T BAD LOOKING PIECES OF FURNITURE AND IT'S SURPRISING HOW GOOD THEY FIT IN.
