After purchasing multiple wall clocks only to be disappointed with loud ticking, I finally decided to take a chance on this opal luxury clock. The clock go my attention because it matches the cabinets in my kitchen and the style is unique. The customer representative was very helpful in trying to answer my concerns before purchasing as to whether this was a quiet clock. I've been wanting this clock for about a year and finally decided to replace my 15 year old pendulum clock and buy it...Couldn't be happier with my decision..!!...It's exactly as shown and described as online...It matches the wood on my living room furniture perfectly,as does the wrought iron detailing it has.... Howard Miller has certainly been making fine products for many years and is world re-known,so I had no doubt it would function properly...The pendulum swings very quietly,the clock works as it should,and the clock face is enclosed in a protective glass dome.... The only thing I would change is the overall size...I wish Howard Miller would make a larger version of this clock for living rooms (HM,are you listening..??..Maybe wider and a little taller..?)...Because it's narrow,the clock face is a bit small and a little harder to read from a distance,and the current size is out of proportion to most of today's living room furniture pieces, but I'm not returning mine...!!.... The scale of this wall clock is just right for a large room with a large expanse of wall. It has a slight Asian feel to it, which made it a good fit with the bedroom where it's now hanging. The only reason I didn't award 5 stars is that the clock hands were bent a bit out of alignment when the clock arrived and it took a couple of tries to get them manually realigned so that they properly passed each other as the minute hand circled the clock."..."  Read more
