I had a very large space opposite the fireplace in our great room. The wall was finished with crown molding, wainscotting and upper divided panels. The clock fits perfectly in this space, not overwhelming, but large enough to make a statement. It was not difficult to hang, the back hook is off center approximately an inch, just had to factor that in after determining the center point on the wall. I just love this clock. I hope my 5-star rating isn't premature and the clock crashes soon. But judging since I bought this piece, I love everything about it. The size is perfect for my wall, and the surprise was the glass-covered face. It works well (so far), and the numerals are easy to read even in a dimly-lit room.
