This is the perfect addition to our All-Clad set. It fits in the 3qt saucepan and steams vegetables really nicely! This makes dinner time much easier and it wasn't expensive at all! Good quality steamer, as expected from All-Clad!

Great size for steaming vegetables on the stove, or to use as a double boiler. The design with the two handles makes it easy to work with.

I really don't have too much to say as I haven't had a chance/chances to use my steamer yet. But I'm sure that it going to take a proud stand in my pot cupboard.
Might be a bad fit on 2 quart sauce pan.

I only have a 1 1/2 quart sauce pan. I took a chance this steamer would fit because the 1, 1 1/2, and 2 quart pans are all 6" in diameter and use the same lid. But the steamer does not seat properly on the edge of the pan because the handle on the pan contacts the edge of the steamer elevating it about 1/8" which allows too much steam to escape. If the handle on the 2 quart is mounted the same relative to the rim as on the 1 1/2 quart then it would have the same problem. I made a ring out of some 3/16" semi rigid nylon tubing I had available to serve as a gasket between the pan and the steamer. This dramatically improved the performance of this steamer to the point that the lid of the steamer floated like the puck on an air hockey table when the burner was turned to high, but the tubing gave the steam a plastic odor. A ring made out of another type of tubing like silicone or Polytetrafluoroethylene about 1/4" diameter might be a workable solution.
