Covers fit perfectly and the long handles never seem to get hot. Clean up is equally easy, but again follow instructions. They heat evenly and quickly throughout with no hot spots. These will be the last pots and pans you will need to buy if cared for properly. I would recommend hand washing and not the dishwasher. Any stuck food will comes off easily with a gentle brushing after adding a small amount of water brought to a boil first. The only downside is the price. This is my fourth rodeo and the last. This set contains all the basic pieces however, so you can function well just with what comes in the box. Warning: once you have tried All-Clad (particularly the copper-core line) you will never again want to use a different pan - simply the best there is out there (pro to novice, the benefits are tangible and immediate).
