Char-Broil is one of the oldest and most respected outdoor cooking brands. Since 1948, more Americans have chosen Char-Broil gas barbecues than any other. Char-Broil continually creates innovative products that make outdoor cooking easy and affordable for the millions of people who barbecue every day. Char-Broil barbecues are sold in the United States and Canada, throughout Latin America, in Australia and now in Europe. Char-Broil made its entry into the European barbecue market with the acquisition of Dancook, a Danish barbecue company that manufactures high-quality charcoal barbecues, fireboxes and accessories. Dancook barbecues are available throughout Europe and in more than 25 countries worldwide. 2012 marked the beginning of the next generation of barbecues and outdoor cookers with the global launch of Char-Broil TRU-Infrared barbecues. A Char-Broil TRU-Infrared system, through a combination of heat output and burner construction, uses less fuel than other barbecues, cooks faster, and delivers juicier food than other gas barbecues. Airflow is strictly limited in TRU-Infrared barbecues which virtually eliminates flare-ups and produces very even heat – no hot or cold spots – at temperatures that range from slow roast to sear. The powerful system is extremely efficient, using a third less fuel than traditional gas barbecues, and making it easy to cook outdoors in the coldest winter climates.
