Angel Guard Angle Ride Infant Car Bed Angel Guard
Angel Guard Angle Ride Infant Car Bed

I love this car bed! We had our baby 12 weeks early, and he had some breathing and oxygen saturation issues, which were not entirely resolved at the time of his discharge. We had ordered this car bed, but he was discharged from the hospital before it arrived; so we purchased a carseat. The ride home was nerve wracking as he had difficulty maintaining good saturation levels, so he was various degrees of blueness the whole way home. Somehow he had done well sitting in the seat in the hospital, but I guess in the car was another situation. The car bed finally arrived, and we were able to use it for doctors' visits. Oh the joy, the peace of mind and heart to see him laying in peaceful and comfortable repose! He did not turn blue once! I wish I had known about this bed with my other children, especially my firstborn who was also a preemie, as it's so much more comfortable for the baby those first few weeks when their back muscles aren't strong enough yet and they look like a sack of potatoes all scrunched up sitting in the carseat. My only complaints are that the maximum weight is too low and there isn't enough harness strap to accommodate long babies. My baby, even though he's well under the weight limit, is almost too long for this bed. He'll most likely outgrow it before he outweighs it. Too bad!"..." Read more

Britax Chaperone Infant Child Seat in Cowmooflage Britax

Easy to install, of course, since it's a Britax. ;-) Takes up a lot of room front-to-back, so it may not fit in all locations of all vehicles. We have it in our 2004 Toyota Sienna (minivan). It fits fine in the seat directly behind the passenger seat, but we did have to move the passenger seat forward a bit. If the person who regularly sits in that seat has longish legs, that may be a little uncomfortable. It's fine for me. Our son was around six pounds when we first put him in the seat. It's a little difficult to get the straps adjusted correctly when Baby is that small, but I'm going to guess that other infant seats have a similar issue. The chest clip is hard to slide up and down once the straps are tightened correctly. This is good if the clip is already at the level of Baby's nipples/armpits, but if it's a little too low, you may need to loosen the straps some in order to move it up higher. That is my only "complaint" about the seat, and it may not be much of an issue once Baby is older. He's still under four weeks old now. The low-birthweight (or whatever it's called) foam is nice. It holds Baby up a little higher, so he's a little closer to lying down than sitting up. Of course, the cow print is adorable. ;-) I wish it "clicked" into my stroller, but at least Britax sends you a strap that can be used to secure the seat into a non-Britax stroller. They get a thumbs-up for effort on that one."..." Read more
