First of all, Wayfair was amazing when I purchased this seat- there was a pricing issue, and they upheld the lower price.
Regarding the Radian itself- this is the tallest rear facing seat on the market. The rear facing weight limit is 40lbs, and the shell is tall enough to actuall allow most kids to reach age 4 & 40lbs in the rear facing position.
The negatives are that the seat can be a bit finnicky to install rear facing. The natural incline when using the provided boot is huge- something like 45 degrees in many vehicles. Combine that with the height of the shell, and you have a seat that is not going to fit in some cars, and will require finessing (and CAREFUL reading of the manual) in others.
There is an available foam block that can be used to modify the rear facing angle for older babies. $10, sold separately. You'll need it unless you've got really sharply sloped back seats."..." Read more
