We actually bought 2 of these trikes for trike races for a game to be played at our high school's "after-prom" party. I am sure the trikes were not designed for high school students, including 200 pound football players, but they worked amazingly! Students of all sizes raced on these trikes and had a ball! The trikes lasted the entire time, and seem no worse for the wear! We hope to use them for many years to come. This is a very well made trike. The directions for putting it together were easy to understand. I gave it to my 18mo old grandson for Christmas. His parents love the push handle to help him along. It wont be long before he will learn to use the pedals himself. He loved the rear basket to put his new toys in. Im not so sure at this young age that he needs a hand brake.
