I wanted to change my daughter's room from a kids room to a teen room for her 1st year of high school. So we got rid of the of pink paint and now her room is blue and purple. However my biggest challenge was finding a nice full size bed specifically in white because of the bookshelves and desk she already had in white. We looked and looked and the final choice was between a bed from [...] and a bed from Wayfair. In the end we chose Wayfair because the bed is of solid wood ([...] is lacquered wood) and I paid the extra money for delivery and assembly which was worth it ([...] does delivery but you have to put it together & honestly I'd rather someone else do it - I value my time). In the end I think we made the best choice. My daughter has only had the bed a few weeks and in addition to her new mattress she absolutely loves it. I thoroughly enjoy my purchase of this platform bed. When I finally decided to replace my previous bed I looked at a great number of websites and stores and saw nothing that was just right. When I came across Wayfair, however, I was immediately intrigued by the unique styles of furniture represented by the site. I came across the Lexington Collection Platform Bed and knew that I had finally found the right bed. I have never slept so well in my life. I no longer have back pains and the height of the bed makes it easier to get out of it in the morning. It was also very easy to set up although the directions were somewhat unclear, but included illustrations that helped very much. The customer service reps I talked with were knowledgeable and professional and really made this the best purchasing experience I have ever had. This bed is in our master bedroom. It was very easy to assemble and it looks great in the room with the theme that we are going for. I like that it's also a platform bed, which is great for our foam memory mattress. The only downside to this bed so far is that it makes noises when we turn in bed. But we have gotten use to it. We have had this bed for about 8 months and so far it's been very sturdy. Over all it is a great bed for a good price."..."  Read more

This bed is gorgeous, classy, and unique! Just having it in the room transforms everything and the design ranks high in the "showplace" category. My full-sized bed is my primary bed. My only disappointment (thus the 4-star rating for what should really be a 5) is that the bed slats that come with it are VERY thin and flimsy. For the quality of this furniture and the cost, one would think that the manufacturers would not have skimped on such an important detail. I plan to buy sturdy plywood to hold up my mattress. In the meantime, a box spring (covered with a dark fitted sheet) sits down into the frame and onto the floor and my mattress is on top of it in a conventional setup; which defeats the purpose in having a platform bed, but it still LOOKS like it's a low-profile platform set up. All in all, I would recommend this with the caveat that owners will have to come up with solutions concerning the slats."..."  Read more
