The bed arrived in about 3 weeks. Actually the headboard arrived in three weeks and the rest of it came one week later. The customer service girl at Wayfair was very nice and helpful. I have a split king size Tempurpedic adjustable bed. When I called the manufacter they told me the bed frame would not work with my bed. The measurements seems to match up so I ordered it anyway. The bed frame had to be build around my bed so it took two people. My Dad and I built it in about an hour. It worked PERFECT. One of the problems with Tempurpedic adjustable beds is you cant put a bed skirt on the box frame because of the bars around it. Now I dont need one. The platform bed looks fabulous and the fabric is even better than I had imagined. When comparing this to similar products you could easily pay over 1000 for this headboard set. I absolutely LOVE it. This solved one of my biggest problems I was having with the Tempurpedic bed!"..."  Read more

One thing about this bed is that it has a "nice" side and a not so nice side (at least on the twin). One of the bed rails on mine had chips and some minor but noticeable cracking. The other bed rail was perfect. I assume they ship it this way on purpose and that the bad side of the bed is meant to face the wall. That's fine for me since one side of the bed is against the wall, but keep it in mind if you're putting the bed in a location where both sides are visible. Also, the space between the bottom of the bed rail and the floor is higher than it looks in the pictures. I measured it at 8", so it's not quite the modern low slung look I was expecting. Overall though, a nice bed for the price and I'm not unhappy with it in any way. Build quality seems good and assembly was simple and straight forward. We truly love the look & quality of the Hilary Bookcase Storage Bed. As many others have mentioned, the bed does sit rather high - but we compensated by purchasing a 10" memory foam mattress. My only real concern was the delivery process. While the gentlemen were quick, courteous, & professional - they lacked judgement as to the placement of the bed. We told them where we wanted it, & then left the room to allow them to work. Upon returning to check things out - they had not centered the bed along the wall, but had it up next to the door frame of the room. When asked to move it over approximately 36", they at first told me it couldn't be moved. They finally consented, but moving it was difficult & caused a very minor misalignment of one section of the bed. In the future, I would monitor the assembly of any furniture delivered much more closely."..."  Read more

When I first saw this bed I was in love! Other sites have the exact same bed but their price is up to $300 higher. It took a little over 3 weeks to arrive but this was made clear when ordering. It is very heavy & at first looked like it would be hard to assemble but it wasn't. My only issue with the assembly was the fact that the hardware came in 3 pouches with 3 separate sets of instructions. You would figure these would match up but I found that the hardware was in random bags. The instructions skip some steps and aren't clear but it's relatively easy to figure out. I did have a nut that had no threads so I had to go to the hardware store to purchase a new one. It was a little difficult to get some of the pre-drilled holes to line up and the side & footrail don't come to a perfectly flush corner (it looks a little crooked - if you don't tuck your comforter you won't see it). When I was finished I had 2 brackets & some bolts that had no instructions. The bed is sturdy and looks absolutely beautiful. It took less than 2 hours to assemble by myself. My only want would've been for the bed to be available in a platform version, as this needs a boxspring."..."  Read more
