I love this set and so does everyone else who comes into my room. I put it in a second bedroom. The reviewers are right. The material is a little rough on top but not underneath on the flip side that stays close to your body. That side is actually a little delicate and if you don't already sleep with a top sheet you'd be well advised to do so so that your toes or nails won't poke a hole into it. I slept with the comforter without a top sheet but without any problems but for every day use I think it would take too much abuse without that top sheet. I have it in a guest bedroom.
The next thing is the red thread. Yes it's true. There is a lot of red metallic thread going through the underside of this comforter's basically purple coloring. It's surprising to see. I was shocked even after reading the one review that mentioned it. No problem though. The top doesn't have the red and the whole thing is still beautiful.
It's too bad that this company doesn't sell curtains to match but here's an idea. I was in Ikea and while passing by the curtain section of the store I saw something that matched perfectly. The curtain is called Felicia. It's very inexpensive and it comes in two lengths. It is an eggplant colored curtain, semi sheer panels, with very slightly red and amethest fibers going through it. You can't see the fiber's colors directly unless the sun is shining on them, but it all adds a cast to the color of the panel. I know. It sounds like the whole thing looks like a bordello or something worse. It doesn't. It is perfect and I was amazed. I'm not kidding, everyone who comes in that room loves it. I have light grey walls, a darker gray carpet, and black furniture in addition to four mirrored wardrobes. I bought both black (not used yet and maybe a mistake, lol) sheets in addition to amethyst ones which look beautiful. The combo of colors is beautiful and the room looks amazing. The pillows that come with it flip from an amethyst side to a black side. Hope all of this detail helps."..." Read more
