I host an annual gingerbread party each December for family and friends. This will be my 3rd year and started baking the gingerbread houses today in preparation for our party. This cast iron mold makes the houses turn out uniformly even and bake up pretty! This gingerbread mold is a must for baking gingerbread houses easier. Just keep in mind that you have to bake the mold twice to have 1 house. If you are baking several you may want 2 of these molds. These molds are easy to take care of and will literally last forever. We love this mold. The detail upon removal is good and the gingerbread comes out cleanly. It is small enough to fit in a toaster oven (our oven is currently out of commission). If you want to decorate with the kids, I recommend baking a few days in advance, as the wait time between batches is a bit long with the cast iron mold. Also due to the wait time, you should schedule an entire day of baking if you want a large batch of gingerbread people or purchase multiple molds.
