Born in Munich in 1932, Sapper studied Philosophy, Anatomy, Graphics, Engineering and Economics, proving him to be one of the most well-rounded designers to date. With such an understanding of the complex physical elements, the aesthetic and monetary aspects of design, Sapper is a truly unique breed of master designer. A ten time winner of the Compassi d'Oro, it is easily understood that his prime interest lies in the design of technically complex objects from ships to watches. Richard Sapper has definitely made a statement with his 2004 design of the Todo Grater. Its giant size makes it an iconical aesthetic addition to the kitchen or dining table, as well as extremely functional. Nearly one stroke on the Todo Grater and you will have enough parmesan for your entire family prepared in minutes. On its reverse side, it also features a fine grater for nutmeg. Finished with a beautiful wooden handle that blends directly into its streamline conical shape, this design will be a wonderful piece for any kitchen.

Love this but purchased for decoration I purchased this for a decoration in my kitchen. I have not tried it for it's intention and I don't plan on it as it looks like it'd be difficult to clean. |
