Acclaimed for his ironic interpretation of traditional forms, it is this sensibility that has projected Graves to a star among designers, as can be seen in his many designs for Alessi that clearly depict a “new Americana.” Michael Graves is known to spend more than half of his time on design alone, and the 9093 was no exception. The 9093 Kettle with Bird Whistle, as designed by Michael Graves, became a household favorite throughout the world from the very beginning (1985). This sole design has sold the greatest number of units in the entire history of Alessi, and, furthermore, it has been cited in numerous design manuals as one of the "most influential objects of the post-modern style." It is considered a forerunner to designs of today that incorporate a very "playful" approach. The classic Michael Graves kettle just isn't the same without the bird whistle. Return your kettle to true form with replacement birds for the 9093 kettle by Michael Graves.

Found just what I needed! After losing the iconic bird whistle for my tea kettle, I was about to replace it when I was reminded to look for just the missing part online. Found it! |

Poor quality Cute, but does not hold up, have had two crack in the past couple of years. Plastic does not hold up to repeaded heatings. Getting a pain to replace and at [$] you have got to be kidding for a [$] part. |

Great, but we've replaced bird twice We use the Graves tea kettle every morning, and love the look and feel. However, we've replaced the bird twice in 23-plus years. It just wears out. May be the convenient plastic material, but it would last longer in brass. When the last one broke, we stumbled along for a week piecing it together. My wife even suggested replacing the pot, but I really like the Graves design. [...] order two replacement whistles this time. This pot will last us the rest of our coffee-drinking lives. |

Perfect After movers broke my bird whistle, I was ecstatic to learn I could salvage my expensive Alessi teakettle for just a few dollars. This is the second one that broke, though, so my only negative comment is that the design must be a bit fragile. Still, those two broken whistles were spaced out of 23 years! |

Alessi Kettle replacement whistle The whistle is the weak link, the kettle will last through at least 3 whistles. If you buy the kettle, get extra whistles. |

Doesn't Work! This was a disappointing purchase. While it LOOKS like the original it misses one important quality of a whistle, IT DOESN'T WHISTLE!!! I do not recommend this product. |
