Born in Munich in 1932, Sapper studied Philosophy, Anatomy, Graphics, Engineering and Economics, proving him to be one of the most well-rounded designers to date. With such an understanding of the complex physical elements, the aesthetic and monetary aspects of design, Sapper is a truly unique breed of master designer. A ten time winner of the Compassi d'Oro, it is easily understood that his prime interest lies in the design of technically complex objects from ships to watches.
