About the Designer
Jasper Morrison England (1959 - )
Jasper Morrison was born in London in 1959 and graduated in Design from Kingston Polytechnic Design School, London (1979-82 BA (Des.)) and The Royal College of Art for Postgraduate studies (1982-85 MA (Des.) RCA). In 1984 he studied at Berlins HdK on a Scholarship. In 1986 he set up his first design studio, called the Office for Design, in London. Soon after this, he began his lasting and useful cooperation with Cappellini. Nowadays, he works in London and in Paris for high level companies such as Alessi, Flos, Rowenta, Sony and Samsung.

These bowls are very nice quality and good for everyday use. I put them in the dishwasher and they hold up great (no chips or scratches so far). I use them mostly for a side salad or soup. I think they would be a bit small for pasta. In fact the only thing that I was a bit dissapointed with initially was that it was smaller than I expected. However, once I used them I thought they were great. I love the Alessi brand and these bowls are no exception.

This soup bowl is beautifully designed. A simple practical shape with a very slight lip on the edge for added stability when holding.
