[...]As we were enroute to check out the pool, I went ahead and dragged it out to the pool area and immediately went about setting it up! It only took 10 minutes- Yippee!As we didn't have any play sand, it became strictly a water table! At the end of the day I drained it and we picked up some play sand for the next 'building day'. We also had to pick up a BIG truck, cause where's there's sand, there must be a truck. Yes, we live in the South, go ahead and laugh about having a monster truck for the sandbox!! The next morning I filled half with water and half with sand. Daughter was in and out of the pool and playing with her table, while swing set construction began again. Within 15 minutes it was no longer a sand and water table, but a 'sandy mud' construction site! TALK about a versatile table that can keep up with a preschooler's imagination! The wheels on the upper portion work great for water and fine sand, not so much for sandy mud, FYI! Love that the lids close up to keep animals out of the sand! PlanToys' Play Table (model # 8247) is the company's latest table designed for PlanCity toys. It measures 35.4" by 48.6" and 15.8" tall, which I think is an ideal size and height for most toddlers and children.Although the table looks simple, it is the result of lessons learned from the company's earlier table designs. Every single edges and corners are rounded for safety. It is also very sturdy, easily withstanding many daily climbs that my 27 pound toddlers undertakes. The top surface wobbles a bit if you press corner edges really hard, however.The table is not painted nor coated in any significant way for clean and timeless look. It is still coated to be water resistant, but it is very mild and unnoticeable.It is also very easy to put together, even easier than average [...] furniture. Although it recommends a screw driver, you don't need any tools beyond what's included in the package. With some "help" from my 17-month toddler, it took me about 30 minutes to put this together, from unpacking to laying the top wooden surface.My only major complaint is the material. It's made of engineered wood and not solid hardwood lumber, which lends to heavier weight (about 50 pounds).Drawers are available as separate purchase, but they are sold one per package and very expensive."..."  Read more

We looked at hundreds of websites, and they all seemed to carry the same art tables. I saw one in the store that was selling for [$]and found it online for around $199. It was a piece of junk. It was very colorful, and I'm sure our kids would have been excited about it, but in a year or two we would have had to replace it. Then we found the this table, and looked at a hundred websites to find the best price after shipping. Some places had a lower price but then charged $70 for shipping.Wayfair was straight forward, good price, no shipping = lowest overall price.Oh the table. We are very happy with it. We got it with 24" legs and it fits our kids just fine (6 & 8 on the small side). If they start to outgrow that height, I can go to any hardware store and get longer legs.We didn't go with the 30" wide paper roll. At first it seemed to expensive, but after looking for something cheaper we couldn't find any. We did find 15" rolls, that had like 250' of paper. That seemed like enough for now. With 2 15" rolls are kids can work on different pictures side by side. We also can swap out one of the rolls for a 14" roll of tracing paper we found at a local store."..."  Read more

You get what you pay for. A good, sturdy table that is fairly easy to put together. The table top is in two pieces and is not completely flat but it doesn't seem to bother the kids or the trains. I see many years of use from this table. Currently it is a train table but I see it turning into a lego table and an activity table. One issue is that the white has chipped already but it is not a product no. I realize it won't look perfect forever as it is not heavy wood but will serve its purpose."..."  Read more
