I purchased the clear plastic with metal rotating base which took a lot longer, but am happy with the purchase. It was intended for a vanity chair, but the sitting position is too far back and your legs come up too high for a vanity. Instead, I use it as a side chair in the living room and it works nicely for that purpose.
