I was looking to compliment my new headboard with two smaller chests and these fit the bill. The chests are a perfect fit and were a great price. The drawers fit a good amount of clothes and/or books and such. They were easily assembled (just put "feet" on)and as for the finish-I don't consider the finish to be distressed, but it is not as high gloss as it looks in the picture.
