Beauty, space and peace of mind!

I purchased this cage for housing my various breeds of compatible finches. They are soooooo happy! As soon as I set it up, they were released from their 18X40"X40" cage into this huge 5 foot long flight cage. I had never heard so much racket from these otherwise quiet little birds. They were thrilled, and so was I. For perches, I used faux apple blossom stem twigs, natural willow and also hung faux soft long leafy vines along the back area so they had little places to hide or get away from the flock when they needed a little rest. I use the four large double feeders for regular seed, fresh greens (daily), fresh water and the last one for a special organic seed mix. I also buy a small tray of living oat grass every two weeks and place it on the floor of the cage near a perch and keep it watered or misted each day. They love to fly through it and play tug a war. I also have two small swings hanging from the roof, but the perches I have placed two near the top and two near the bottom on either end, so they have few obstructions from one side to the other. We do not use the divider. We used 'zip strips' to secure the two cages together and do not intend on ever putting in the divider as we want them to have maximum space to fly always. If there is a 'cranky' breeding pair, we can set them up in a different cage until they are done their 'thing'. Each night we hang a light cotton cover over it. Since the cage is metal, I am going to be sewing in magnets into the cover, so I can just click it on each night. This cage has been placed in my living room and looks great as a structural piece and because we purchased black, it is fitting right in with our wrought iron accents and warm color pallet. I have such a peace knowing that I have given my little birds a large living area and a quality of life. Now they can fly freely and enjoy each day with less stress and I can watch them from any angle of the room and appreciate these little creatures in a whole new way.

A move required keeping my previously free-flying birds in a cage. I ordered 2 but all 6 birds are happy together in one cage, it's so spacious! These cages are well designed, with little extras like the safety latches above the doors and on the sliding trays. Very attractive too! Much sturdier than another large cage I bought from a different company. I am so pleased with these cages that I have no intention of selling the spare one that I presently don't need. I expect it will have new birds in it sooner or later! Thanks so much for this great product!
Perfect if you have cats!
Birds and Cats from Cedaredge, CO
Directions are nonexistant best thing is to look at the picture and use trial and error. Otherwise we love this cage. We have 5 parakeets and 4 cats so we needed something the cats could not get into and this works great. Heavy weight cage so the cats cannot knock it over or pull it apart yet easily can be moved for cleaning around. We even put covered plywood on top for the cats to walk/sleep on. The birds realized after about an hour that the cats could not get to them. The cage has turned into not only a great home for the birds with plenty of room to fly and play but also a source of entertainment for the cats. If anything it is cat cruelty because the birds constantly tease the cats when they are around. We have also gotten a dowel rod the color of the cage(sand) to fit in the front of the cage when not using the divider. With a tie near the top and one near the bottom we can easily slip it in and out of the space left by the divider. We use paper in the bottom of the cage so the space at the bottom isn't a factor for us. The main thing we would like that this cage doesn't have is locking rollers. We have so much fun watching the birds and the cats, its much better entertainment that watching TV! We were leary of the price but now think it is well worth it.
Seems to have a missing part

Very impressed with the look and size of cage and my canaries totally love it. However with no divider between the two sides this leaves an almost 2 inch gap between the two cages--down the front and also the floor, that my canaries can fly out through. I'm wondering if my cage is missing a part? Also there really are no instructions. The instructions more or less say, Iirst make the stand. Then make the body. That's it. And no idea what screws to use where, etc. Also had a bunch of little metal pieces with two screw holes in each--I never used them and I have no idea where they go on this cage. However I did manage to build the cage by myself in about two hours. It's cumbersome for one person to build but if I can manage it, anyone can. First you make the stand...that's easy if you look at the picture. The cage part is easy too once you separate the parts and just line up the holes on each panel and screw them together. If I can do it, probably most anyone can. But it would have been easier with better instructions.

If you are looking for a nice cage at a great price to house your pet birds in, then this is the one. I have 2 sun conures and bought this cage for them. It is a LARGE cage and gives them plenty of living space. I like the option of having the removable divider as well. I only had one issue with an attachment piece, but the Wayfair Customer Service Rep ordered a replacement part and shipped it right away.
Great cage, but

We love this cage. It is long enough to act like a flight cage, when the divider is removed. We have 4parakeets on one side, and 2 parrotlets on the other. They have a ton of space to move around. Took about an hour to put together, and comes in two large boxes. My only complaint, is that the dimensions listed are just for the cage. Add an extra 3 inches to the width for the handles of the stand. It was too wide for the space we originally wanted to place it.
Exceeding My Expectations
Rob D from Tampa Bay – Verified Buyer
This cage is sturdy and weighs over 100lbs. The bars are spaced for small birds but it will probably hold any kind of bird comfortably. I've seen cages that cost four times this much that weren't nealy as rugged. This cage is overbuilt for even commercial uses and I'll bet it could stand up to a F2 tornado. I don't use the divider but my two lovebirds only use half the cage anyway. My friends took one look at it and started laughing. It arrived in two large boxes that were reinforced and banded with no damage. The only complaint I have is the poor assembly instructions. It should take about 45 minutes to assemble, but the instructions are so poor it took over three hours. That's too bad since with about 15 minutes more work, they could be so much better. My advice is to study the diagram very closely. (hint: the tabs on the upper rail of the stand are pointing up and are inboard.)

This is a great flight cage that will house our canaries. The assembly instructions are a laugh, but we figured it out. It turned out to be very sturdy and just what we were looking for at an affordable price. We recommend it.

Nice cage. Has a gap between cages when not using the divider, I used a small strip of plexi glass to fill the gap on floor of cage for easier cleaning.

I absolutly love this cage & so do my guys -- it was easy to put together dispite NO directions because I read the reviews of others concerning this problem -- you really need to give better directions -- it was so much larger than I expected so when I went to get 2 more birds to join my first 2 that I rescued I ended up with 4 new ones for a total of 6 & still have plenty of room -- my boys(Vodka, Martini, Whiskey, Tequila, Bourbon & Brandy) are totally loving all the room -- I know they are very happy with all the chirping I hear -- the cage is easy to clean & move around -- I love all the storage space beneath the cage.
