AV Carts

It took me awhile to find a TV mount that fit my needs, and this one does it. Here's my setup: I have a 42" LCD TV which I use primarily as a computer monitor. I live in an apartment, so I couldn't wall mount the TV, and I needed a stand with a small footprint. Those qualifications knocked off a lot of stands I found, but this one fit the bill. I was able to place the stand against the wall, push my table/office desk up against it, attach the tv to the swivel mount, and lower the swivel mount so that the bottom of the TV is just about an inch off the table top. With this setup, I am able to maximize my table top space, while having plenty of leg room (my feet actually rest on the base of the stand), get the awesome benefits of having a 42" computer monitor, and still not have to worry about damaging the apartment walls. Plus, when it's time to move, the stand is highly portable. I did read the other reviews that stated how the swivel mount attached to the stand using only 4 set screws, and this did concern me. Everyone seems to be praying that those 4 little set screws will be enough to hold the swivel mount with the TV attached. However, the swivel mount fits on the dual poles so tightly, I didnt even need to use the set screws. The mount and TV stayed put due to the sheer tightness alone. Of course, I did use the set screws, and I tightened them hard enough so that they dug into the poles a little bit. It wasn't necessary to do that, I'm sure, but it did make me feel better. :) The only real bummer about this stand is the price. It ain't cheap, that's for dern sure! But if you can financially swing it, and you need portability or you want to have a setup like mine, then don't be deterred by the 4 little set screws. I was searching for a stationary stand but decided on the cart because it included the mount which made it a better deal from a price stand point. In the end the cart was perfect.
