The umbrella is on my deck. It's open all the time unless it's extremely windy. When closed, there are attached ties to guarantee the wind cannot catch the umbrella and open it. The large size protects my table and chairs from drippings from several elm trees. The material is sturdy, the color is bright and true, and there's nothing about this umbrella that I don't like. I should have bought it years ago.

Delivery was VERY prompt, and the umbrella arrived in perfect condition in a box and plastic bag for winter storage. I did not use customer service.

We use the umbrella at our raised deck at our inground pool. It provides a great amount of shade. We love the colour and the look. It matches our outdoor patio furniture. Two items we are a little unsure about. On windy days we found the umbrella really sways. We realized right away that part of the problem is we need to get a heavier table, as the umbrella is quite top heavy and even with the weighted stand underneath the table, the umbrella was actually moving the table across the deck! We solved this problem by tying down the corners of the umbrella loosely to the surrounding fencing around the deck. Also, we are nervous about the cord snapping when opening the umbrella, at the very end of the opening process. The tension on the cord is very tight. However, all in all, we love it, but thought you would like to know our issues. Thank you.

I have a deck without a cover and in Texas it gets over 100 degrees, but on my deck it can get upwards of 110. The umbrella I purchased is absolutely perfect! I screwed two discreet eye bolts into the outside wall and used tiny bungees to secure two corners of it and a plumbing flange screwed to the floor of the deck keeps it in place and it's marvelous! It shades and cools and I don't have to worry about the wind. One of the best purchases I've ever made!

This is on our deck, where the windows of the back of the house are. This helps shade the interior of the house as well as keep out outdoor table shaded. This is a lovely product. We will see how long it lasts...last CANVAS umbrella rotted from wet & sun in the second summer. I like that this doesn't seem to be as heavy to use. It seemed easier to put up than the last one. Don't know what is bad about it yet ')

The umbrella is just what I wanted. It covers the entire picnic table. We haven't experienced high winds or downpours of rain so I can't comment on that. I mainly wanted it to keep the sun off the table and people.

This is a great umbrella. I completely covers our4x7 ft. table and anyone sitting around it. Even though it is large, the crank system makes it very easy to put up and down.

Great service -- the umbrella arrived within a week. Just took it out of the box and put it up. One suggestion -- in the product description, you should add the diameter of the pole. We had a bought (elsewhere) a standard base, but it was 1/8 too small, so we had to quickly find another.
