Better than expected, but room for improvement.

This item was well constructed and it did not look like it was a put together kit when it was finished. The stand is heavy and sturdy. The downfall is we had to adjust the predrilled holes for the doors as they did not line up correctly. Also, the center glass doors have a magnetic closure at the top only. The one door is a warped, and so to correct this we will be buying an additional magnetic closure for the bottom . The shelving has some long splinters at the edges, but this did not distract from the look of the final product as they were just installed to the back and the good edges were out front. Overall, for the money it was okay. We are very fussy consumers, and were going to buy an unfinished piece and finish it ourselves. However, do to the time involved we opted for this.
Beautiful and Sturdy

I am very pleased with the quality and style of this TV stand. Plenty of room for the cable box, modem, router, DVD player and sound components. As other reviews mentioned, the color is definitely more cherry than oak. I assembled it alone in about 4 hours during two evenings. I did need help to move it into place however, as it is quite heavy once together. After reading a few reviews that mentioned sagging I decided to be proactive and installed a 1x3 brace lengthwise midway underneath the top 35+ inch open space using L brackets. The brace is hidden by the trim and is not visible from any angle.

Our family could not be happier with this credenza. It took about 2 12 - 3 hours to put together because two of the pieces werent marked so we had to figure out where the missing pieces belonged and how it was placed. It did have a few nicks where natural wood was exposed, but it was the underside of the top cap on the unit and a quick touch up with furniture magic marker saved the day. We were a bit unsure of the steadiness of the unit...but rest assured...once everything was pieced together....it became a solid and heavy unit. It truly is a stunning piece as others have commented and the color is such a rich cherry (a bit darker than pictured). Although we purchased this piece over three months ago..I was just commenting to my husband yesterday on how this is one of our best finds .... and the price .... who can beat that! It truly looks warm, rich and EXPENSIVE and I am so impressed by how this piece shows in our family room. One would never guess that this piece had to be assembled. Ive seen pieces like this for much more in retail furniture stores and I KNOW I got a fantastic deal on this piece! The extra work of having to put it together was more than worth it. I would definitely recommend this product and my advice would be to just be patient and take your time putting it together because the end result is well worth it in every sense. I would also recommend putting a 14 inch piece of glass on the top of the unit to avoid scratching the top. This can be custom ordered from any local glass company and costs about 80.00. It will also be a great enhancement to your unit and add to its richness. Cant say enough about how fortunate we are to have chosen such a perfect piece of furniture (and I like most, want more bang for my buck). This piece will definitely give you more bang for your buck...trust me when I say..... I know you will be just as excited to add this to your home as we were. P.S. - Wayfair has the most incredible staff and customer satisfaction was their number one priority when working with me. Wayfair definitely deserves an A ....so dont hesitate to place an order with them....they really will make sure you come away fully satisfied with your purchase. Love Wayfair....Love their product...confident you will too! )
Overpriced but looks nice.

The product arrived in 2 very well-packed boxes, so I really was happy with that. It prevented damage since you could see one box had been dropped at some point or smashed in. Nothing was broken. All pieces were there. However, there are flaws in a lot of the wood. I had to have one of the doors replaced because the trim had a bubble under it and was quite noticeable. I had not trouble getting it replaced. I don't mind the few flaws in the wood since most are not that noticeable. Also, the large bottom trim on front did not match with the bottom side trim at the seams. Be prepared to redrill some of the holes that don't line up. Also, you might want to use wood glue andor some extra corner bracing once you are sure you have things lined up right, to give it more stability. It is basically just put together with cams locks and screws at the main corners. Otherwise, it is very nice looking. Took me an afternoon to put it together since I did it alone. Not worth $400 but more like worth less than $300.
Pretty TV Cabinet But...
Cindy from Bolingbrook, IL
The main complaint I have is that the color is darker than pictured. The color noted on the box was warm oak but it looks more cherry to me. It was purchased to match the other furniture in our home but isn't even close. My husband I both agreed though that it is a very pretty cabinet and decided to keep it. Basically the cabinet was easy to put together. We spent a bit of time trying to locate piece F and realized it had been mismarked with a P. We also had a problem when adding the plinth to the unit as it seemed about an 1/8" or so too long. We ended up having to remove a few camlocks from the sides, add the plinth and then put back the side camlocks. Somewhat of a chore but it worked. In spite of my complaints I do like the cabinet better than any I looked at in various furniture stores. Have also received several compliments on it from family and friends.

We love our new TV stand - the quality is as expected. The website was accurate in its descriptions. The only reason we gave it a 4 star is because it was a lengthy project putting it all together! Took my hubby 2hours but the end result is awesome and truly seems to be a good value!

The TV Stand is beautiful-we are very pleased. I'm not a fan of some assembly required, however this TV stand wasn't difficult at all-took me about 4 hrs. Directions were fairly easy to understand. We are very pleased with the quality.

This credenza looks great and is a beautiful piece of furniture, but it took a long time to set it up. Some of the holes weren't aligned with the pegs, and we had to resort to a little bit of wood glue. Overall, it's sturdy and turned out great.
Once we got it put together, we loved it
Deb in WI from Wisconsin
The product is not quite an oak finish- it's redder than the image - more like a cherry finish. Not a problem for us. I love the closed storage and the height is perfect for our 46" LCD TV. It does look beautiful, especially for a piece of RTA furniture. Our problems started when we opened the two boxes. [...] we were missing some hardware. We called the manufacturer and it seemed as though it was rather routine for them to have this sort of problem. Without any question, replacement parts were cheerfully shipped out and we received them in less than a week. So now we could assemble the unit! Not so fast. Now we noticed that one of the doors was too wide, and another one was the wrong color. So we got the unit mostly assembled (minus the 2 doors) in about 3 hours, then we called again and had yet more pieces shipped out and we received them about a week later. So by now it's been about 2-3 weeks, and we're putting on the 2 replacement doors, and we find that one of the taller doors is again too wide to fit in the opening. I got ready to call the manufacturer for a third time, but my husband decided to fix it himself by planing down the width, just to be done with it. Finally! The credenza could be loaded with our dvds, cd's and components. Our DVD player doesn't fit inside the glass doors as I would have liked, but it fits well on the center shelf just below the TV. Overall, would we do it again? Perhaps. I like the look and function of the assembled unit. The price was right. The site we ordered from had free shipping. And the manufacturer shipped replacement parts without any hassles. I was just glad that we didn't have any company coming by during the 3-4 weeks it took to get through this process. On the plus side, we now have some scrap pieces that we might just recycle into a matching bookcase!?!

We found the TV stand to be moderately easy to assemble. Quality of structure is excellent. Only slight discrepancies in fit of a couple of parts. A great addition to our TV viewing area. Especially like the height which is just a bit higher than most EV stands.
