This was definitely worth the wait! This wainscoting was so easy to install, it and was the perfect accent piece for this end wall. I love that it did not need to be nailed onto the wall, so filling nail holes and repainting was not needed. We used a common construction adhesive. I purchased this in eight foot lengths to install all over the house: living room, den, four bedrooms, and hallway. It is beautifully intricate in design and has held up over the years with no cracking or chipping. We painted it a white semi-gloss. My only minor concern is that in the winter it does shrink a bit at the seams, showing gaps. But I think a little white caulk would take care of it. Added plus: we had one wall that was curved. These look amazing once we finally got them installed. It can be quite tricky to cut correctly, and it was frustrating enough for my husband that it took him years (and a contractor) to finally get them all put up. Be mindful also that you need to make sure they end at a perpendicular wall or door trim. We had originally planned on just doing our main living room, but had to buy extra to do the adjacent hallway because there wouldnt have been a clean way to transition into another type of moulding.
