This is a beautiful piece of office furniture. Looks very good. Took about 3 hours to put together. If you are not good with reading instructions fully get help. It's somewhat strong, but I would only use it for hanging file folders. The bottoms of the draws are made with some sort of hardboard and the weight is not sufficient to hold much of anything else in my opinion. They are just slid into slots on the bottom. The dark purple is a great color - file cabinets are fine for the price point. One of the two I ordered has a sizable dent on one corner. It it was to be in a corner or not viewable from two sides, I would be ok with it. However, it is being used to support wood for a desk in a brand new church office and plain to see. Looks great, is sturdy, and holds 3-4 Banker Boxes of files. I wish the Washington Cherry finish was a bit lighter in color - but it is still pretty. Clear instructions. Purchased this in black. Arrived with great packaging. No scratches or dents. Not super thick or heavy metal but will work for my home office. I was not able to add the casters as the wheels added height and it would not fit under my desk. So there is about an inch or inch and a half gap between the top of the file cabinet and my desk. The only complaint I have is the top drawer does not pull out all the way. There are several inches of space at the back of the drawer that can't been seen. Seems like wasted space. Cabinet was easy to assemble and feels sturdy. It is a great size for my space and fits my Canon GX6120 printer perfectly. Drawers open and close easily, but not so easily that they open on their own. I have this in a room with carpeting and have no issues opening the bottom drawer which has a wheel in the front middle.. Ordered 2 at once. One arrived from New Jersey (?) in perfect condition, but the second shipped from TX never arrived. Customer service has been perfectly helpful for all FIVE (?) calls. A replacement (from TX) was ordered and arrived not boxed with corner protectors/top and bottom cardboard pieces completely damaged and unusable. A second replacement came (from TX) and arrived in even worse condition (both tops had screws missing and screw holes stripped so won't stay on with screws provided, cracks on all sides, dents, etc.). I asked for a return label so whomever can inspect and see how badly damaged they are coming from TX. Third replacement sent from New Jersey or maybe Virginia- I cannot remember. Arrived in perfect condition like the first did. Customer service could not be better, but I'd call to order this piece with customer service and beg that it comes NOT from Texas. Love the two working ones and recommend 100%... again, if not arriving from Texas! I'm sharing damaged photos of last one sent, but not of two we kept, b/c they fit description perfectly.. Christina.
